"Ghosts, corpses and four hot men—what’s a girl to do?
Abandoned at three—whose parents want a kid who sees ghosts?—I learned the world is quick to punish misfits. I try my best to be a normal, boring human, but the call of the supernatural just won’t be ignored.
When a stranger shows up on my doorstep in the middle of the night, it’s no sexy tryst. Instead, I’m off to the graveyard, digging up the corpse of a murder victim at the demand of the local vampire coven—and that small felony is just the start.
The spirit of the woman has gone missing—something that shouldn’t be possible—and everyone is looking to me for answers. There’s Kase, a vampire who’s both terrifying and secretive. Grant, a mage with a bad attitude and a lot of power. Troy, the possessive werewolf-detective next door and Hunter, a mysterious bad boy who isn’t even close to human.
It’s a race not just against time but against everything to figure out where the spirits are going, who’s behind it and if I can trust the men who now share my bed.
And all because of a little grave robbing…"
Market Value: $25
Starting bid: $10
Want to bid: Mark your calendar for Friday, July 18 to start bidding once our Summertime Sadness Online Auction goes live.
Remind Me: Joshua Tree Writers Retreat has closed it's doors for the summer (YOU wanna pay that A/C bill?!) so we are using the time to raise some money for the Residency year to come.
Our fundraising goals are as follow:
1 - To build a "Send a Parent to Writers Camp" fund. As one of the only family and pet friendly writers' retreats in the country, part of our primary mission at Joshua Tree Writers Retreat is to provide a space for parents (however that looks for your family unit) to focus on their work, with or without their dependents, out in a creatively supportive community. We understand that this might be a hardship for some, and so we hope to develop a scholarship for two, one-week slots to a parent who hopes to stay at Joshua Tree Writers Retreat in 2026. The financial goal for this scholarship is $2,450.
2 - To build enough funds to finish rehabbing our Community Classroom while maintaining it's historic spirit. The original structure on our property, this 1953 recreational cabin has seen better days, but we can get it there! We are about halfway through the rehabilitation of this cabin, but we still need an estimated $15,000 to finish the job through and through and be DONE done. (We know. We get it.)
This auction will be open for three days, from July 18-20, and winners will be notified re: pick-up/delivery details after payment is complete.
